NORMAN, Ind. — A double shooting in Jackson County has claimed the life of a 76-year-old man, authorities confirm.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 11000 block of West 325 North near Norman at around 9 p.m. on Thursday. Two men with gunshot wounds were discovered by deputies at the scene.

The sheriff’s department identified one of the victims as Larry Fox, 76, of Norman. Fox was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim, a 28-year-old from Norman, was shot in the arm and transported to the hospital.

The sheriff’s department is asking anyone who might’ve heard or seen anything related to this shooting to call authorities at (812) 358-2141.
