SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO)– Two men have died after falling into a silage silo Saturday morning near Volga.

The two men were working to repair a damaged roof of an 80 foot silo, which was nearly full, according to a post from the Brooking’s County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say for unknown reasons, both became entrapped inside and were believed to have been overtaken by toxic gas.

Both men were taken from the silo. Medical personnel determined both died, according to the post.

The men were identified as Larry Dalzell, 51 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Randi Vandekieft, 41 of Warner Robins, Georgia. Both were working for Heartland Tank Inc.
