The Sioux Falls Police say there are still no arrests in connection with the city’s 16th homicide of the year. Last Thursday, police say 38-year-old Michael McDaniel was shot and killed in an apartment in eastern Sioux Falls.


One building is destroyed after a fire in downtown Brookings. Flames had destroyed most of a downtown Brookings shop and apartments surrounding it when first responders arrived.


Flags in South Dakota are flying at half staff until January 28th in honor of President Jimmy Carter who passed away Sunday. Carter spent time in South Dakota on a few occasions first during his campaign then later for Habitat for Humanity.
