INDIANAPOLIS — A person was killed in a shooting on the near west side of Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to 2500 block of West 10th Street around 4:06 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
In a press release on the shooting sent at 4:34 p.m., IMPD indicated that the victim was in critical condition. In an update provided at 5:08 p.m., police confirmed that the victim had been pronounced dead.
IMPD has not provided any information on the victim’s age or sex. It is also unclear if police have identified any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation.
