MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — A person was killed in a crash on State Road 144 in Morgan County on Saturday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, personnel from the Madison Township Fire Department and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash around 12:13 p.m. Saturday. When first responders made it to the scene, they determined two cars had been involved in a crash near the intersection of State Road 144 and Smokey Row Road.
Per the Morgan County Coroner, one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Officials have not yet indicated how exactly the decedent was involved in the crash.
The coroner’s office is withholding the decedent’s identifying information until their family has been properly notified of their death.
