INDIANPOLIS – The northbound lanes on interstate 65 near downtown are back open after officials shut the area down due to a semi-tractor trailer fire.
According to ISP, around 12:05 a.m. Friday morning, a collision involving a semi and two passenger vehicles occurred in the northbound lanes of I-65 between 12th street and 21st street.
Heavy smoke and flames could be seen from the scene of the crash.
Details are limited at this time, but State Police has confirmed one person was taken to the hospital.
The condition of the two other parties are unknown at this time.
