INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating after a male was critically injured in a shooting early Sunday morning.
According to IMPD, around 12:15 a.m. Officers responded to the 4000 block of Carrolton Ave. of a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived they located a male with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a house. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say that the shooting took place during a house party at a short-term rental. Police are still working on what led to the shooting.
There are no known suspects at this time, but IMPD says that several people stayed at the scene and are cooperating with investigators.
