INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after a man was arrested for leading police on a chase on Indy’s east side Sunday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident started just after 1 a.m., when officers spotted a vehicle that had been involved in a shots fired incident.
When police tried to stop the car, the driver took off, leading to a chase near East Washington Street & Jefferson Avenue. The pursuit ended when the car lost control and crashed in front of a home near the intersection of East Washington Street & North Drexel Avenue.
The adult male was arrested on several charges including criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
Investigators say no one was injured during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
